Writer Kim Eun-sook, actors Song Hye-kyo, and Lee Do-hyun’s new drama ‘The Glory’ has been confirmed as a Netflix original.
It will be presented to viewers around the world as a Netflix original.”
‘The Glory’ dreamed of becoming an architect, but the main character dropped out of school due to brutal school violence in high school. It is an evil and sad story that begins a thorough or desperate revenge on the people and bystanders.
It is a new work by writer Kim Eun-sook, the ‘master of romance’, who made hits with dramas ‘Lovers in Paris’, ‘Secret Garden’, ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’, ‘The Heirs’, ‘Descendants of the Sun’, ‘Goblin’ and ‘Mr. Sunshine’. This time, it is trying to transform into a revenge drama rather than a romance genre. Writer Kim Eun-sook’s pyo revenge drama raises curiosity about what it will look like.
Song Hye-kyo was chosen early as the main character. Before Song Hye-kyo’s current SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Now, I’m Breaking Up’, she decided to appear in this work and she was waiting for full-fledged production. Meanwhile, Lee Do-hyun was confirmed as the male lead.
The production company announced that it would pre-produce 100% for the perfection of the drama. Preparations began in January of next year to start filming. Song Hye-kyo is taking a break before filming for ‘The Glory’ after ‘Now, We’re Breaking Up’ filming is over, and Lee Do-hyun is scheduled to enter after filming for tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Melancholia’ ends.
In a situation where actors as well as entertainment officials alike prefer Netflix, it is becoming clear that major or anticipated works are settled on Netflix. ‘The Glory’ is also confirmed to go to Netflix, and Netflix’s leading strength is expected to continue in the next year as well.
