Taemin is the last SHINee member to enlist in the military.
Taemin will enter the army training center on the 31st. The time and place of enlistment will not be disclosed. After completing his basic military training, he will perform his national defense duties as an army band.
As a result, Taemin will be the last member of SHINee to fulfill his military duty. Onew enlisted in the army in December 2018 and was discharged last year. Key and Minho enlisted in the Army and Marines respectively in 2019 and were discharged last year.
Taemin released his last album ‘Advice’ before enlisting on the 18th. He showed his challenging spirit once again with his experimental style and music, befitting the title of ‘Resolute Man’ At the time, he also said, “I hope this album will comfort the fans during the hiatus.”
He also appeared on ‘Shall We Talk’ and said, “I will come back when I grow up. I am looking back on the things I have accumulated so far and the regrets that I have not been able to spend personal time in the meantime. I want to reset myself through enlistment. Not self-replication, but 2 of a new beginning. I want to open the curtain,” he said.
