Movie ‘haenyeo’ Haenyeo and PD, a beautiful love story upcoming film

Is it possible for a woman in her 70s and a man in her 30s to comfort each other across generations?

The movie ‘Shining Moment’ is about the process of meeting and exchanging special emotions between Jeju haenyeo Jin-ok (Go Doo-shim) and PD Kyung-hoon (Ji Hyeon-woo), who shoots a documentary with Jin-ok as the main character. The film goes beyond prejudices about age, region, and occupation, and asks the meaning of love.

At a press conference on the 14th, director So Jun-moon said, “I made this film with the idea that beautiful love is only completed when two generations, each with their own wounds, comfort and heal each other.” “The image of a woman making a life on a barren island. This was very inspiring. I saw that there are hidden emotions and emotions that cannot be revealed behind them.”

It was held at all locations in Jeju, and the beautiful scenery was included. It also focuses on the life of a haenyeo. Jeju’s haenyeo culture, which was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016, is melted into the life of Jinok, which is set as the ‘world’s best haenyeo’. Most of the cast, including Go Doo-shim, are from Jeju, and most of the haenyeo appearing in the play are real haenyeo.

Go Doo-shim said, “No matter how old you are, people have emotions. “I am grateful to director So, for allowing Jin-ok to overcome the limits of her age gap and prejudice, hold onto her own emotions to the end and greet the shining moment in her heart.” said Ji Hyun-woo said, “If the audience looks at them with their hearts and sees them emotionally, I think there will be time to think about love after watching the movie.” Released on June 30th.
