Han Seo-hee denied the allegation of taking methamphetamine while on probation.
On the afternoon of the 9th, Han Seo-hee attended the trial of the first trial for violating the forbidden medicines management law at the courthouse.
The prosecution said that Han Seo-hee took methamphetamine in June of last year.
Prosecutors said that she “administered methamphetamine by the Buddhist method at the Buddhist statue below in Gwangju around the beginning of June 2020.”
Han Seo-hee and Han Seo-hee’s lawyers denied the allegations regarding the use of methamphetamine.
In July of last year, during her probation period, Han Seo-hee was detained in a probation station after a urine test tested positive for methamphetamine and psychotropic soporific.
After she was detained, she was released after a hair test at the National Forensic Research Institute was negative, but she was later brought to trial when evidence of forbidden medicines charges was secured.
This is not the first time Han Seo-hee has been charged with soporific. Han Seo-hee was charged with purchasing 9g of hemp four times from July 2016 to December 2016, and smoking hemp or smoking in liquid form seven times at her home in Jung-gu, Seoul. On this charge, she was sentenced to three years in prison, four years of probation and a fine of 870,000 won, probation, and 120 hours of “forbidden medicines” treatment lectures.
The court decided to continue the trial, and the next trial is scheduled to be held at 2 pm on July 23.
