Singer Hong Jin-young’s new song ‘VIVA LA VIDA’ continues its global popularity.
The English version of Hong Jin-young’s ‘Viva La Vida,’ released on the 6th, entered 9th place on the US Billboard ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart on the 23rd. Jinyoung Hong, her trot song, has entered the detailed charts of Billboard, following iTunes and Amazon Music.
The English version of ‘Viva La Vida’ entered the top 90 on the iTunes US overall genre chart on the 8th of this month and ranked third on the K-pop chart. It reached #2 in all genres in Saudi Arabia.
The Korean version entered the top 100 on iTunes 32 charts in 9 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United States, New Zealand, Indonesia and Hong Kong, and on the 10th, the English version topped the best-selling song on the Amazon Music International chart.
‘Viva La Vida’ is a dance song with a Latin-style melody. The English version is faithful to the original music and contains English lyrics. Composers Jo Young-soo, Lee Yoo-jin, and Hong Jin-young, who have worked together on Hong Jin-young’s hit songs, also participated in co-writing the lyrics.
