The ‘Brit Awards’ started in 1977 as an awards ceremony organized by the British Record Industry Association. Particularly, the ‘Brit Awards’ is an awards ceremony for artists from the UK, but from the late 1980s, the ‘International Division’ was newly established to give awards to artists working in various countries. Nominations for the award will be selected by a panel of more than 1,000 radio, TV DJ and host, broadcaster executives, record producer representatives, and journalists.

Although last year, the ‘Brit Awards’ side removed the international group division and scammed BTS fans’ anger, this year, the international group division re-established and BTS was nominated.

Meanwhile, this year’s ‘Brit Awards’ was held face-to-face with 4,000 attendees. It is the first large-scale indoor music performance held in the UK in about 14 months after The British government has decided to hold a face-to-face awards ceremony for the ‘Brit Awards’ as part of an event research program that tests the possibility of a large-scale performance.

In addition, 2500 tickets to the ‘Brit Awards’ were allocated to essential personnel, including medical staff in the London area, and the rest were allocated to award nominees and music industry officials. The spectators of the ‘Brit Awards’ watched the performance without wearing a mask and social distancing.
